Reflection On Week 1-5

During the past 5 weeks I have created 2 task on mt topic about cycling

First I researched using the net and found an article that provided background information to help my understanding of the issues related to my topic, cycling, I choose this topic because I usually biking with my friends and teacher.

With this information I created a summary on the topic and posted this on my blog page. This helped my understanding and provided me with more information to move to the next stage on Blooms

During the "comprehension" stage i created my second task to investigate and do some interview related to cycling, and the I post som photo/create a survey/ embed a visual snapshot to show my audience understanding of the topic. We were asked to record our summary as a video and embed the file into our blog page to demonstrate our oral language skills and ability to master intonation and expression. I found this difficult to do at first but one of my friends was able ro assist us and i was pleased with he final product

Now I am preparing for the next stage od Blooms "Application" and I am deciding how i will design mu next task that could include: an interview, a simulation/ a presentation using IT tools and illustration.

It's time for me not to plan my next task so please check my blog on Friday and post a comment

Report on Music Therapy

I choose this topic because I interested in music therapy and how can we heal people using music as therapy? That's the thing I want to know and learn more about, is it possible to help people that are sick by playing music? Music is a great thing because music is enjoyable, it can calm people down it can help bring creativity to people and it can be played individually and also can be played as a group. We as the player is enjoying playing and also the audience enjoy listening and also the song that we are playing
can help people to relax, feel good, and be happy about them self. This week I started my research fin an article about music therapy. next I summarized the article using my own word and and dictionary to fin new vocabulary I then put my summarized into a report and make the worksheet below.

Music Therapy

Using Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.

Music therapy helps to:

  • promote wellness
  • manage stress
  • alleviate pain
  • express feelings
  • enhance memory
  • improve communication
  • promote physical rehabilitation.

Researchers in music therapy support its effectiveness in a wide variety of health care and educational settings

  • Music and Physical Relaxation: Music can promote relaxation of tense muscles, enabling you to easily release some of the tension you carry from a stressful day (or week).
  • Music has always been a great healer. In the Bible, we learn about how David played the harp to help ease his severe depression of King Saul .
  • Music is a significant mood-changer and reliever of stress, working on many levels at once.
  • Music was found to reduce the pain during dental procedures.
  • Playing music in the background while we are working, seemingly unaware of the music itself, has been found to reduce the stress.
  • Playing music in the background while we were sleeping also help to relax our brain
  • Other Benefits: Music has also been found to bring many other benefit such as lowering blood pressure, boost immunity, ease muscle tension, and many more. With so many benefits and such profound physical effects, it’s no surprise that so many are seeing music as an important tool to help the body in staying (or becoming) healthy
